YXB C12/0.4KV- KVA series preframing box-like substation (hereinafter box substation, for
short) is a compact, set power distribution unit which integrates the high-voltage power
distribution unit, electric transformer and low-voltage power distribution in a box. The box
substation is mainly used for urban grid reconstruction, residential areas, high buildings, hotels,
plazas, enterprises, airports, oilfields, whafes, express highways, temporary power consuming
facilities and other indoors and outdoors places. As a looped net or terminal-type power supply
equipment, it is a new-type power distribution unit in place of the transformer of original power
distribution rooms and poles.

1.11 The box substation has a compact structure, small volume, small covered area, short cycle
of production, high strength, convenient, flexible and quick transportation and installation.
1.1.2 . The box substation applies steel structure. The room body is of metal or non-metal type
and has the features of thermal isolation, ventilation, beauty and protection.
1.1.3 . Diversified box substation tyupes, such as general type, compact type, villa type,
residential area matching type, etc.
1.1.4 . The door of the box substation has sealing strip on it. The protection class for the
surrounding of the room is no inferior than IP33D in GB4208-1993, that for the box top and the
bottom ventilation part is no inferior than IP23D. It has adequate mechanical strength and can
withstand common impact of loads.
